July 11, 2012 (New York, NY) — Rick’s Cabaret/NYC, the premier gentlemen’s club in Manhattan, has teamed with leading cigar purveyor Davidoff & Cie. for a one-of-a-kind Davidoff Cigar Dinner on July 16th. A cocktail reception for attendees at 7 pm will be followed by dinner at 7:30 pm and a special “interactive cigar tasting” and seminar at 9 pm on Rick’s elegant rooftop smoking deck at 50 West 33rd Street, just beneath the towering Empire State Building.

The cigar tasting will be under the guidance of Jeff Stone, Davidoff’s National Brand Ambassador, and co-hosted by the lovely Rick’s Cabaret Girls. Cost for the event is $125 and attendees are asked to RSVP at [email protected] or by calling 212-372-0850.

“This is a rare opportunity for the cigar enthusiast to gain a greater appreciation for fine cigars and the craft of making them,” said Ken Sistrunk, general manager of Rick’s Cabaret/NYC. “We’ve already heard from many connoisseurs who plan to attend, and we expect there will be a big turnout for the reception, dinner and seminar.”

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
