Davidoff’s Golden Band Awards will now begin at 7 p.m. local time, with the award ceremony beginning at 8 p.m.

The company is making the change—a one-hour delay—due to the new schedule set by the IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which will now run from 1:00-7:00 p.m. due to an electrical fire and the damage caused by the sprinkler system.

Davidoff originally planned on beginning the event at 6 p.m. with the awards at 7 p.m., that has now been delayed an hour.

The Golden Band Awards are an invite-only annual event where the company honors its retailers with physical awards due to a variety of categories. For many years Davidoff held the events during a larger dinner, though for the last two years the company has held a scaled-back version of the event without an actual dinner.

Details about the 2018 nominees can be found here.
