Tomorrow, the original Davidoff Chefs Edition will be back on sale at Davidoff stores.

The 2016 release of the Davidoff Chefs Edition, a 6 x 54 toro, is returning as part of Davidoff’s Vault program. Most notably, the company says these cigars are part of the original 2016 batch and not simply remade versions of the blend. The original Chefs Edition used a Dominican habano 2000 wrapper over an Ecuadorian Connecticut binder and four fillers from the Dominican Republic: mejorado seco, San Vicente mejorado visos, piloto visos and San Vicente visos.

It was made in collaboration with six acclaimed chefs:

  • Peter Knogl of the Cheval Blanc of Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois in Basel, Switzerland
  • Renato Wüst of Bad Ragaz Grand Resort in Switzerland
  • Ali Güngörmüs, of Le Canard HH Pageou, Münich, Germany
  • Léa Linster of Restaurant Léa Linster in Luxembourg, Germany
  • Michel Trama of Relais & Chateau, Puymirol, France
  • Maria Marte of Club Allard, Madrid, Spain

For the Vault release, Davidoff is releasing 700 bundles of 10 cigars with an MSRP of $40 per cigar. For reference, the 2016 release was limited to 1,500 boxes of 10 cigars with pricing set at $30 per cigar.

Davidoff will offer the Chefs Edition 2016 Vault release through its Davidoff-branded stores, its online store as well as a select number of third-party retailers.

Since its release in 2016, Davidoff has created three more Chefs Edition releases.

Davidoff’s Vault program has seen the company rerelease a variety of previous limited editions, as well as unreleased cigars. These cigars are packaged in paper bundles of 10 and are sold through Davidoff’s online and flagship stores.
