Davidoff of Geneva USA has announced a new line of exclusive—and big—cigars for BLEND Bar with Davidoff Cigars.

The aptly named BLEND Exclusive Series features a five-year-old Ecuadorian 702 wrapper, which comes from a region proprietary to Davidoff. Under that is a Dominican Republic San Vicente Mejorado seco binder and five different fillers from the Dominican Republic: San Vicente Mejorado seco, San Vicente visus, Piloto visus and seco, and Yamasá visus. Each cigar measures 8 1/2 inches long with a 57 ring gauge and is presented in glossy, red lacquered boxes of 10 cigars.

“This selection of cigars is as unique and distinctive as the award-winning BLEND experience, where luxury is redefined with elegance, class and sophistication,” said Corey Johnston, co-founder of BLEND, via a press release. “Every detail and aspect of this exclusive cigar was poured over by BLEND and Davidoff professionals to ensure a proper pairing with some of the finest bourbons, whiskeys and scotches in the world which are featured by BLEND.”

It is a blend that has been in development for five years, dating back to the formation of the partnership between BLEND and Davidoff.

“The BLEND Exclusive has been blended with the elegance and refinement of the BLEND experience in mind – an experience which was recently heralded as the most distinctive setting to enjoy premium cigars, along with fine food and spirits,” said Dylan Austin, president of Davidoff of Geneva Americas. “We look forward to our continued partnership with BLEND, and to sharing the BLEND Exclusive Salomones with their discerning aficionados.”

The Davidoff BLEND Exclusive Salomones are priced at $95 per cigar and $950 per box, are limited to a total production of 1,000 boxes. They are available exclusively at the BLEND Bar with Davidoff Cigars locations in Indianapolis, Ind.; Nashville, Tenn.; Pittsburgh, Penn.; and The Woodlands, Texas.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
