Dave Lafferty’s tenure at Nat Sherman will be a short one.

At the end of this month, Lafferty will leave the company after spending less than nine months as the executive director of premium cigar sales for Nat Sherman.

“Having known Dave for many years, the opportunity to finally work together was a true pleasure,” wrote Michael Herklots, vp of retail and brand development, wrote in an internal message. “Dave’s passion for the industry and our company was a critical component of our 2018 success in launching the NSI rebrand strategy in a seamless transition during the IPCPR convention.”

Nat Sherman is promoting James Shaffer to national sales director and Michael Maiure to senior analytics and brand manager.

In addition, the company announced Brandon Luna, the sales representative who covered Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Kansas an Oklahoma, is also leaving the company.
