There will be another Crowned Heads cigar from Drew Estate.

Last year, Drew Estate made Buckeye Land, a single-size Ohio exclusive for Crowed Heads, marking the third factory the company had worked with during its seven years of existence. Now, Drew Estate will make Crowned Heads’ Hawaii exclusive, Paniolo Especiale.

The Paniolo Especiale 2019 is a 5 1/2 x 48 parejo that uses a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.

“We’re extremely excited for this year’s Paniolo Especiale as it will mark the first time we’ve utilized a Connecticut (Broadleaf) wrapper on the annual Hawaii-exclusive release since the inaugural edition back in 2015,” said Jon Huber, Crowned Heads co-founder in a press release. “While the blend is entirely different than the 2015, I sincerely feel that smokers will find that this year’s rendition stacks up very nicely against the 2015.”

Suggested retail pricing, before Hawaii’s high state taxes on cigars, is $9.80 per cigar. Production is limited to 5,000 cigars, sold in 12-packs at R. Field Wine Co.

The cigar will launch at an event at the Prince Waikiki Hotel on Feb. 8.
