The list of cigars available exclusive to members of the Tobacconists Association of America (TAA) will be getting an entry from Crowned Heads. The Nashville-based company will be releasing Angel’s Anvil, a standalone brand offered in a single 7 1/8 x 49 size.

News of the cigar was first reported in Cigar Insider. Jon Huber told the Cigar Aficionado publication that the brand is based off of his own life. More specifically, Angel’s Anvil is a story about a wingless angel who finds a blacksmith to provide him (the angel) with a hammer and anvil in order to create new wings.

The new wings for a fallen angel are a parallel to Huber’s time in the cigar business, which saw him without a job after CAO was moved into the General Cigar Co. portfolio following the completion of the merger between Swedish Match and Scandinavian Tobacco Group. Huber’s new wings came of course in the form of Crowned Heads.

Angel’s Anvil uses a an Ecuadorian Havana wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and fillers. It is limited to 1,000 boxes of 20.

The TAA is a group of select retailers throughout the U.S. who meet once per year. The annual TAA meeting and convention will take place March 23-27 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Last year, the organization received exclusive cigars from Alec Bradley, Altadis USA, Ashton, AVO, Drew Estate, La Flor Dominicana, My Father Cigars, Padrón, Rocky Patel and Tatuaje.
