The newest candela CroMagnon will be released today.

Old Virginia Tobacco Co. is hosting an event to launch the CroMagnon EMH Don Bosco, a 5 x 56 robusto extra that is more or less the reverse of RoMa Craft Tobac’s Black Irish. Don Bosco uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut candela leaf as its primary wrapper, accented by the Connecticut broadleaf normally found on the regular CroMagnon.

Pricing is set at $10 per cigar and it is limited to 500 boxes of 24. OVTC took preorders of the CroMagnon EMH Don Bosco and has said there is a chance it might already be sold out. Orders can be placed at 703-330-9753.

The name comes from Giovanni Melchiorre Bosco, a Catholic saint known as Don Bosco. OVTC is donating $1 per cigar to the charity to Iglesia Don Bosco in Estelí, Nicaragua.

RoMa Craft’s Mike Rosales will be at the Seven Corners location for an event starting at 4 p.m. today.
