Colibri has begun shipping its Quasar Punch cutter, the latest entry to its growing collection of cigar accessories with the Quasar design, and one of the more distinct cutters released in recent memory.
The Quasar Punch contains three different punch cutter blades—7mm, 9mm and 12mm—packed into its rectangular shape. Each of the blades coincides with a pyramid on the front of the cutter while a fourth pyramid functions on the handle. Once that fourth pyramid is slid open, the blades for all three sizes appear from the body of the cutter, while sliding it back to its starting position retracts the punches and ejects the cigar cap.
It’s offered in four colors—matte black, metallic silver, metallic charcoal and matte red—all priced at $59.
The Quasar series is defined by the hobnail pattern, a nod to the Colibri Molectric lighter from the 1960s. It debuted in the form of a Daniel Marshall-built humidor and has been extended to ashtrays and cutters, including the dual-blade Quasar desktop cutter and a Quasar-styled version of its Cut cutter. The company has also added a Quasar version of its Astoria lighter.
