Colibri has begun shipping a quartet of new colors for its Cut cigar cutter, a collection known as the Colibri Cut [camo]..

The company added the new color ways at this year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, with availability beginning last week both to retailers and via its online store.

The Cut is a dual blade guillotine cutter that can handle cigars up to a 62 ring gauge. The black color-coated blades are made of 440 stainless steel are coated with a non-stick lacquer for easy cleaning. It features a spring-loaded release and ergonomic handles for ease of use. Each of the four new colors sells for $49 and comes with a gift box and two-year warranty.

It’s the latest in a new presentation for the Cut, joining the Quasar Cut that was released earlier this year in eight color options. The Cut remains available in its original colorways as well as five colored-blade options and a version with wood handles.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
