For the third time in as many weeks, Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) is announcing a new Club Macanudo location.

This time, it’s the new location in Jakarta, Indonesia, which will open to the public tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024. The new location is located in Bumi Pakubuwno, a retail complex in Senayan City. This announcement follows recent openings in Taipei, Taiwan and Bossier City, La.

“We are pleased to offer cigar enthusiasts who live in and visit Jakarta with the opportunity to experience Macanudo in a rarefied environment that complements the cosmopolitan vibe of the city, and we believe that Club Macanudo will be a successful addition to our growing collection of Club Macanudo lounges,” said Régis Broersma, svp of STG’s North America Branded and Rest of World Division and president of General Cigar Co., in a press release.

Club Macanudo is best known for its original location in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, which offers cigars for sale but is primarily a cigar bar that offers food. A second Club Macanudo was opened in 2022 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Jakarta location will be the fifth Club Macanudo location. There is also a Cigar Shop Macanudo retail store in Copenhagen. Furthermore, STG also operates roughly a dozen Cigars International retail stores in the U.S., all of them but one has a full bar.

Update — STG has clarified that its press release had an error: Jakarta is in Indonesia, not Malaysia.
