Last month, Cigars International opened up its first store outside of Pennsylvania. The new store is located in The Colony, Texas, a suburb about 25 miles north of downtown Dallas.

The new store is greater than 7,000-square-feet including a 2,500-square-foot humidor and a Club Macanudo cigar bar. Cigars International’s parent company, Scandinavian Tobacco Group, also owns a Club Macanudo in New York City. The company also owns General Cigar Co.

As for The Colony store, it includes 32-foot high ceilings. The store is designed to look like a curing barn, similar to two of the Cigar International stores in Pennsylvania.

“Given that the handmade cigar category was built on the kinds of personal interactions that can only be had in-store, our new location gives cigar lovers a unique venue for experiencing the camaraderie of fellow smokers,” said Craig Reynolds, president of Cigars International, in a press release. “Our stores are meant to complement the traditional cigar shop experience and enhance the cigar lover’s appreciation for handmade cigars.”

While Cigars International sells a variety of exclusive cigars, many under its own labels, the new Texas store opened up with an exclusive from General Cigar Co.’s Macanudo.

The Macanudo Inspirado Limited Edition – The Colony is offered in two sizes Toro Grande (6 x 52, $17.99) and Double Corona (7 1/4 x 54, $19.99). It uses a Connecticut habano wrapper over a Connecticut broadleaf binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, which were aged in Dominican rum barrels for one year.

Both cigars are offered in coffins.
