The Cigar Shop Lands 2012 by Oscar Barber Pole

Oscar Valladares has created a barberpole.

The Cigar Shop, a pair of stores located in the Carolinas, has announced that it has landed an exclusive version of the 2012 by Oscar.

The 2012 by Oscar Barber Pole is a 6 x 52 box-pressed toro that uses Mexican San Andrés and candela wrappers, alternating in a candy cane pattern down the side of the cigar. The barberpole name comes from the electric barber’s pole signs that are popular outside of the hair cutting shops.

Underneath the two wrappers is a Nicaraguan binder and Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers.

“Keeping consistent with our philosophy for exclusive cigars, we want to offer a unique experience for our customers,” said Todd Johnson, co-owner of The Cigar Shop, in a press release. “When we approached Oscar about doing a project, we discussed how important this was. Oscar not only delivered on bringing something unique, but he took it to a whole new level. This is one of the most unique cigars to hit the market in some time.”

Pricing is set at $8.97 per cigar and it is limited to 200 boxes of 10 cigars.

The Cigar Shop operates stores in Monroe, N.C. and Myrtle Beach, S.C., as well as an online storefront.
