Winners: Christmas (2009)

Null

As promised, I printed out every name that entered the Christmas Contest (all 101 of them!) and had a friend draw two names out of the box…I decided that I was not only going to give the First Place winner their first choice cigar, but I am going to give the backup choice to the Second Place winner! Why? Because that is just the way I roll…(ahem)…

So, without further ado, here are the winners!

  • The First Place Winner is Jolietfire and he will be getting a Cohiba Gran Reserva!
  • The Second Place Winner is Brooks Howard(which I thought was fairly Ironic), and he will be getting a Montecristo Sublime (2008), I just happen to have a box laying around here somewhere…

Well, I have to say that was fun :) The winners need to email me at [email protected] with their addresses, so I can mail these out in time for Christmas, in case you want to smoke it Christmas Eve :)

Please remember, you MUST smoke and review these cigars by 1/1/2010, and email me with the review and photos so I can post them here :) No holding on to these sticks forever!

Thanks all, it was fun, and hopefully I made a few people’s wishes come true!

About the author

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
