The latest from Chogüí Cigars is now in stores in the Dominican Republic.

The company’s Primeraño, a 5 1/2 x 46 corona gorda, has arrived in stores. The limited edition cigar was made to celebrate Chogüí’s first anniversary, which took place in November.

It uses a Dominicana HVA wrapper, Dominicana criollo 98 binder and Dominican fillers including habano 2020. All but the latter are components from the company’s first release, the  Primera Edición.

Production is limited to 200 boxes of 10 cigars with a suggested retail price of $9 per cigar. It is not executed to be formally released in the U.S. although Chogüí founder Victor Nicolás told halfwheel he is planning on releasing a cigar to celebrate one year of availability in the U.S., which began coincidentally in November of last year.
