Ahead of the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, Chogüí Cigars has announced a variety of expansions to the young company’s portfolio.

Chogui Mi Corazon

The first will be a new line, Chogüí Mi Corazón, which translates into my heart. Company founder Victory Nicolás told halfwheel that Dominican tobacco is in his heart and it’s what inspires him to make cigars entirely of Dominican tobacco.

Mi Corazón will use an oscuro wrapper with all tobacco provided by Flor de Los Reyes S.A. Some details are still being finalized, but the cigars will come in boxes of 20.

In addition, the company first regular production line, Dos77, will receive two extensions: a Toro (6 x 50) and Corona (5 x 46). These will formally launch later in the year.

Finally, the Chogüí Primeraño, a cigar the company created for its first anniversary in the Dominican Republic will make its way into the U.S. According to Nicolás, it’s going to use the same tobaccos that the Dominican Primeraño used, but they will be tweaked. It will be offered in the same 5 1/2 x 46 size as the Dominican version.

Chogüí is distributed in the U.S. by Pospiech Inc. and will be in their booth at the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which begins July 25 in Las Vegas.
