You can soon forget lighting up your favorite cigar in the parks of Cecil County, Md., as the Cecil County Council approved a smoking ban by a 3-2 vote during its meeting on Tuesday night, according to a report from CecilDaily.com
The ban, which goes into effect on June 3, prohibits any usage of cigars, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaporizers, pipes, and chewing tobacco, with violators subject to a $50 fine.
With the new ban, Cecil County joins Baltimore and Harford Counties in banning smoking in parks
Cecil County is the northeastern-most county in Maryland and home to approximately 102,000 residents.
