Casa Magna XV Anniversary Debuting at PCA 2023

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of Casa Magna, one of its most notable cigars, Quesada is releasing a new limited edition, aptly called Casa Magna XV Anniversary.

The Casa Magna XV Anniversary will be offered in a single 6 x 54 toro extra size with an Ecuadorian habano 2000 wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Nicaragua. Unlike the original Casa Magna blend, which was made by the Plasencia family in Nicaragua, this limited edition will be made at Quesada’s Tabacos de Exportación factory in the Dominican Republic. While historically, Casa Magna has been known as a Nicaraguan cigar, in recent years, Quesada has added new Dominican-made Casa Magnas.

The MSRP is set at $15 per cigar, and production is limited to 3,500 boxes of 15 cigars; 500 boxes will head to Europe.

“Raquel and I started working on this project with the factory team last summer,” said Manuel “Manolo” Quesada Jr. in a press release. “We knew since day one what we wanted but took us a while to figure it out. Sometimes a project comes to life as fast as the first blend thought in mind, and this was not the case.”

Quesada says that the cigar will be available this summer. The 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show takes place July 8-11 in Las Vegas.

“We were looking for specific flavors, something richer and with a more complex taste but in the same Casa Magna blending style,” said Raquel Quesada. “Back in 2008 we came out with a cigar that set the standard for a full flavor cigar. This limited-edition cigar is a tribute of our commitment to find new avenues to pleasure.
