Carolina Blue Cigars has announced that it has entered into a fulfillment agreement with Fumare Internationale, the parent company of Illusione Cigars.

The agreement will see Fumare Internationale handle fulfillment of Carolina Blue’s orders from its Reno, Nev. warehouse, which the company has operated as a foreign trade zone since Dec. 2019. In addition, Illusione’s current sales brokers will have the option to add Carolina Blue Cigars to their portfolio should they wish.

Carolina Blue Cigars is based in Charlotte, N.C. and was founded in 2016 by Christopher Moore, a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Army. It currently has 10 lines in its portfolio, five of which are Dominican blends known as the Signature Series, and another five which are Nicaraguan blends known as the Highway 101 Series. Its cigars are produced in the Dominican Republic at Tabacalera El Puente in the Villa Gonzalez region.

Fumare Internationale also has similar agreements in place with Cavalier Genève, Casdagli, Lampert and Amendola Family Cigar Co.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
