The next big purple box of Camachos is off to stores.

Davidoff of Geneva USA has announced that it has begun shipping the Camacho Diploma Special Selection 11/18, the second release in the brand’s revamped Diploma line which debuted last year. The 2018 version uses the company’s signature 11/18 perfecto size, which measures 6 x 48/54/48. Blend-wise, it is made entirely of Honduran corojo, largely from the upper primings.

“We are thrilled to once again offer the special Diploma blend in Camacho’s signature 11/18 format to aficionados across the globe,” said Scott Kolesaire, director of marketing at Davidoff of Geneva USA, in a press release. “The 11/18 format delivers the strength and characteristics of our “best of the best” Original Corojo, but adds an interesting depth of complexity. Constructed with 100% hand-selected and high-priming Original Corojo tobacco from Honduras. The blend is the top of the pyramid for Camacho in terms of taste and strength.”

Like last year’s release, it is packaged in hexagonal coffins and then into a larger box. This year, the coffins use a matte purple finish instead of a high-gloss finish like last year. Pricing is set at $22.50 per cigar and it is limited to 1,500 boxes of 18.

The company says the cigars will launch in Switzerland next month while Germany will receive the cigars in October.
