At last year’s trade show, if you asked Chris Arolfo about any new product, he might have told you about the Cabal Linda Petit Lancero, a limited edition petit lancero that he was making in honor of his late mother.

While the Cabal Linda has been released at two events, at this year’s trade show, the cigar will be available for all retailers to begin purchasing the cigar. The Linda measures 6 x 40 and uses a Brazilian cubra wrapper over a Dominican binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Peru. It is made at the Kelner Boutique Factory in the Dominican Republic.

The cigar is limited to 500 boxes of 14 cigars with pricing set at $14 per cigar. Linda Arolfo was born on Jan. 14, 1956 and died on Jan. 14, 2013 after a battle with a rare brain disorder called frontotemporal dementia, or FTD. Proceeds from the cigar will be donated towards research on FTD. Arolfo said around 450 boxes will be made available to retailers at next month’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.

“I’m making this cigar as a yearly release to pay tribute to her for my Dad and as a reminder to myself of a woman who always supported my ventures in life and gave me the inspiration to always follow my own path,” said Chris Arolfo to halfwheel.

Subsequent releases of the cigar are scheduled to arrive on Jan. 14.

In addition to the Linda Petit Lancero, Arolfo indicated the latest batch of Esoterics, the company’s small batch cigar, will be available. This batch is 6,000 cigars, over double the original production run.
