Several new cigars from Boutique Blends are expected to be released at this year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.

The company has yet to formally announce its two new lines and has declined to reply to an email seeking comment, but Cigar Insider has reported that the company will be expanding its La Bohème line with a new blend called Encantador that will be released in three sizes, the 5 x 46 Regio, 5 3/4 x 54 La Scala, and a 6 x 52 torpedo called Fenice. The blend uses Dominican tobacco for the filler and binder with a higher priming Ecuadorian leaf than what was found on the original La Bohème, which was released last summer. Pricing is expected to be between $10.25 and $12.24 per cigar.

The company’s Swag line will add a Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapped version in the same four sizes as the Swag Black, which was also a 2014 debut: the 4 1/2 x 48 VIP, 5 x 54 Lavish, 6 x 54 Infamous and 6 x 60 Ego, with pricing between $7 and $9 per cigar.

The company has already announced two additions for its Aging Room Bin No. 1 line, a 6 1/16 x 54 vitola called D Major and a 6 1/2 x 38 petit lancero called D Minor. Those extensions were announced in March.

All the cigars are being made at Tabacalera Palma in the Dominican Republic.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
