Blind Faith by Alec & Bradley to Debut at IPCPR 2018
Astute cigar smokers may know that there is no person named Alec Bradley, but rather the name comes from Alan Rubin’s sons, Alec and Bradley. While they have long been the namesakes of the company, the pair are now releasing their own cigar.
The new line is being made at the Raíces Cubanas factory in Honduras, which is home to a number of other cigars from Alec Bradley, and uses a Honduran wrapper from the Trojes region. Under that is a dual binder, with one leaf coming from Nicaragua’s Jalapa region and the other from Honduras’ Trojes region, while the filler comes from Nicargaua’s Estelí region and uses criollo 98 and corojo 99.
It is scheduled to be released in three sizes, each in 20-count boxes:
- Blind Faith by Alec & Bradley Robusto (5 x 52) — $8.95
- Blind Faith by Alec & Bradley Toro (6 x 52) — $10
- Blind Faith by Alec & Bradley Gordo (6 x 60) — $10.95
Both Alec, 26, and Bradley, 22, work for the company that bears their names; the former in marketing, promotions and sales support, while the latter assists with marketing and social media as well sales support and promotions, according to a report by Cigar Insider, which has been confirmed by an Alec Bradley representative. The two have been making monthly visits to the factory for the past six months or so and feel they have reached the point of being ready to release their own blend.
Blind Faith by Alec & Bradley is scheduled to be released to the cigar industry at the 2018 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which runs from July 13-17 in Las Vegas, Nev.
