Last year, AVO introduced a regional edition for the East and the West, now the brand is going North and South.
In August, Davidoff of Geneva USA will ship the AVO Regional North Edition and AVO Regional South Edition. The two cigars are part of the same series, though the blends and sizes are different.
The AVO Regional North Edition is a 6 5/8 x 50 perfecto that uses a Dominican wrapper over a Dominican olor/piloto hybrid seco binder and Dominican fillers: hybrid olor/piloto ligero, piloto ligero, San Vicente mejorado and San Vicente viso.
It is priced at $14 per cigar and will be limited to 2,000 boxes of 10 cigars.
The AVO Regional South Edition is a 7 x 52 torpedo that has an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and binder. Underneath are four fillers: Honduran Jamastran seco, Peruvian seco and San Vicente viso and secos from the Dominican Republic.
It is also priced at $14 and limited to 2,000 boxes.
Stores are only able to purchase one of the two cigars depending on their geographic region.
An addition 2,250 boxes of the North and 2,100 boxes of the South will be made available to stores around the world.
