Earlier this week, Pennsylvania-based Atlantic Cigar Co. took delivery a new private label from Room101, Series Black Scale.

Series Black Scale is currently available in a single 6 x 60 size. It uses a Honduran wrapper from the 2006 harvest that was “press fermented,” a process that sees weight added to pilones creating additional heat. The binder is listed as Nicaraguan in origin and 2009 in vintage, while the filler is from the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Mexico.

Pricing is set at $9 per cigar. Interestingly, there are no boxes or bundles available; Atlantic is only offering singles and five-packs.

The line is described as a “small batch” with additional sizes coming, although production numbers were not disclosed.

Room101 is produced at Oettinger Davidoff AG’s Agroindustria LAEPE S.A. factory in Honduras and distributed by Davidoff of Geneva USA.
