In the coming months, there will be more versions of the Medula Oblongata heading to stores.

Asylum is working on a 7 x 70 extension to the original line, as well as a maduro version. The line debuted last year—a Honduran puro—that was offered in round shapes—Medulla—and box-pressed, Oblongata. The blends themselves are the same, but each cigar was offered in 50-count boxes featuring 25 round and 25 pressed versions.

Christian Eiroa, co-owner of the brand, told halfwheel that the company will release a maduro version which will likely use Mexican San Andrés wrapper. He expects that cigar to arrive on shelves in “late April, May” of this year.
