This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Asylum brand, known for its large ring gauge cigars.

As the company has done since its seventh anniversary, it will release two cigars to commemorate the anniversary, both under the Asylum 10 header. Like previous years, the Asylum anniversary releases will be offered in two sizes, both of which are individually packaged in coffins:

  • Asylum 10 11/18 (6 x 48/54/48) — $20.60 (Box of 20, $412)
  • Asylum 10 70 x 7 (7 x 70) — $25.60 (Box of 20, $512)

These are the same two sizes as the previous three releases.

Christian Eiroa is declining to talk details about the blend; both the Asylum 8 and 9 were described as Honduran puros while the Asylum Seven used a Nicaraguan wrapper over a blend of Honduran tobaccos. It is made at the CLE Factory in Honduras.

There will be 1,300 boxes of 20 cigars produced for each size.

While the cigars are likely to be shown off at the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which takes place July 9-12 in Las Vegas, CLE Cigars—which distributes Asylum—has informed retailers orders must be placed by June 24, 2022.

In addition to announcing the Asylum 10, the company is also teasing the packaging for next year’s Asylum 11.
