Following up on last year’s La Aroma de Cuba Noblesse, Ashton Distributors, Inc. will look to another Nicaraguan brand for a high-priced limited edition, San Cristobal.

At this year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, the company will show off the San Cristobal Ovation. The new cigar is offered only in a single 6 1/2 x 52. It uses a Mexican San Andrés oscuro wrapper over Nicaragua fillers, which the company says were grown by the García family of My Father fame.

Suggested pricing is set at $15 and the cigar will be limited to 3,000 boxes of 22 cigars.

Chip Goldeen, vp of sales for Ashton Distributors, told halfwheel the company hopes to ship the Ovation in the fall.
