Aristocrat Humidors, one of the world’s premier cabinet humidor builders, has announced it is no longer producing humidors.

A message on the company’s website explains that while the company isn’t closing, its humidor production is:

We have thoroughly enjoyed creating Aristocrat Humidors for our clients over the last 25 years, and it is now time to slow the pace down a bit. Our focus will be to continue providing sales and service of our precision electronic humidification systems for new and existing commercial and residential humidors.

We are closing the humidor building side of the business. I look forward to ongoing contact with current clients and greeting new customers for Aristocrat Humidification systems over the coming years.

Aristocrat was founded in 1992 by Bob Staebell. For over 25 years, the Garland, Texas-based company produced custom made cabinet humidors for customers all over the world with prices ranging from around $800-7,500 before any additional customizations. In addition to standard style humidors, i.e. wooden boxes that included humidity units, Aristocrat was a leader in selling cooled humidors which featured both humidity and temperature control. The company also produced cigar lockers, finishes for walk-in humidors and at times built desktop humidors for clients, though Stabell admitted his specialty was in bigger units.

Now the company will focus on selling its Set & Forget humidity control systems designed for cabinet humidors and larger applications.
