Antigua Esteli Cigars has released its latest line, Segovias.
The Segovias Habano Oscuro uses an Ecuadorian-Grown wrapper leaf atop a Nicaraguan binder and filler, while the Segovias Maduro gets a Mexican San Andrés leaf for its wrapper. Art Garcia, president of Antigua Esteli Cigars, says that the blends feature volcanic, robust tastes and aromas from Nicaragua.
Both sizes are getting a 5 1/2 x 52 robusto priced at $8.99, while the Habano Oscuro will get a 6 1/8 x 52 Torpedo ($11.99) and the Maduro gets a Semi Box Press Toro that measures 6 x 56 and is priced at $13.99. Each of the sizes come packed in 21-count boxes with a Boveda humidification pack included to help maintain optimum conditions during its journey.
Production is being handled at a new factory called Diamond Cigars S.A., which is located in Estelí, Nicaragua.
Shipping began on June 1. The company will also be showcasing the line in its booth during the upcoming IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. I previously covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
