When halfwheel launched, it was the first cigar blog I know of that used Livefyre.

At the time, commenting platforms were still getting going and Livefyre was most certainly not the most well-known. It had some innovative features and we liked the way it looked.

A few years has past and Livefyre has ventured into a lot of other products. The current commenting platform lacks some features of its main competitor, Disqus, and as such, we are jumping ship to Disqus.

While old comments should still appear on the site, you will likely need to create a Disqus account.

As a reminder, please adhere to the following rules:

We encourage you to comment, even if your comments are critical of us or the subjects mentioned in the post.

However, we will delete comments if they cross lines.

Reasons for deletion of comments include, but are not limited to: advertising/solicitation, foul language, offensive remarks, trolling and inaccuracy.

We will delete comments and blacklist any IP address that comments using multiple accounts/screen names.

Multiple violations can result in blacklisting of IP addresses.

I am an editor and co-founder of halfwheel.com/Rueda Media, LLC. I previously co-founded and published TheCigarFeed, one of the two predecessors of halfwheel. I have written about the cigar industry for more than a decade, covering everything from product launches to regulation to M&A. In addition, I handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff here at halfwheel. I enjoy playing tennis, watching boxing, falling asleep to the Le Mans 24, wearing sweatshirts year-round and eating gyros. echte liebe.
