Less than a year after he started, Andrew Brennan has left Patoro Cigars.

Brennan was appointed the company’s head of U.S. operations last June. His role included working with the Swiss-based Patoro and their U.S. distributor, CLE Cigar Co. In January, Patoro announced that it was ending its distribution agreement with CLE, instead opting to use the UPS Cigars Direct program that allows for the company to ship cigars straight from the De Los Reyes factory in the Dominican Republic to U.S. stores.

Prior to his tenure at Patoro, Brennan served as the head of sales for La Flor Dominicana and La Palina. In a text to halfwheel, Brennan said he was evaluating his options.

I am an editor and co-founder of halfwheel.com/Rueda Media, LLC. I previously co-founded and published TheCigarFeed, one of the two predecessors of halfwheel. I have written about the cigar industry for more than a decade, covering everything from product launches to regulation to M&A. In addition, I handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff here at halfwheel. I enjoy playing tennis, watching boxing, falling asleep to the Le Mans 24, wearing sweatshirts year-round and eating gyros. echte liebe.
