Altadis U.S.A. Increasing Prices on Jan. 1, 2021
Altadis U.S.A. will increase prices on most of its cigars effective Jan. 1, 2021.
The increases vary across the company’s massive portfolio, but a random sampling of 20 cigars shows that most of them are increasing around 3 percent with the majority of the increases representing between a 2.9-3.5 percent increase depending on the SKU.
It would appear that prices will not be changed for the following lines:
- Aging Room Bin No. 2
- Aging Room Core
- Aging Room Pelo de Oro
- Aging Room Pura Cepa
- Aging Room Solera
- Ciudad de Musica
- Harvester Connecticut
- H. Upmann Herman’s Batch
- Monte by Montecristo AJ Fernandez
- Montecristo Connoisseur Edition
- Montecristo Epic
- Oliveros Gran Retorno
- Omar Ortez Originals
- Omar Ortez Maduro
- Onyx Bold Nicaragua
- ROMEO 505 Nicaragua by Romeo Julieta
- ROMEO San Andres by RyJ
“Keeping you and your customer’s best interests in mind, we strive to absorb increasing costs whenever possible,” said Paul Waller, head of sales for Altadis U.S.A.’s premium cigar division, in a letter to retailers “The revised pricing on certain items in the attached price list offsets a portion of the rising manufacturing costs for our portfolio, but also normalizes pricing across certain brands.”
The company’s last price increase was believed to be in October 2019.
