The next Alec Bradley blend to be offered in the company’s distinct Diamond Press vitola will be the Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper.

At this week’s TPE 2023 trade show, the company will show off the Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper Diamond Press, which uses a box-pressed 6 1/4 x 54 shape. Unlike most box-pressed cigars, which are pressed to a shape similar to that of a rectangle, the Diamond Press shape forms a rhombus. The Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper blend uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.

According to a report from Cigar Aficionadothe Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper Diamond Press will have an MSRP of $12.75 per cigar and is limited to 1,500 boxes of 16 cigars. While it will be on display this week, it is not expected to ship until late April.

A representative from Alec Bradley confirmed the accuracy of the story but declined to comment otherwise.

The Diamond Press, like the rest of the Gatekeeper line, is made at Tabacos de Oriente in Honduras. Of note, when the line debuted in 2019, it was originally made at Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. in the Dominican Republic. In 2021, Alec Bradley announced that it was moving production to Tabacos de Oriente.

Alec Bradley has used the shape for the Nica Puro Diamond Rough Cut as well as the Black Market Estelí Diamond.
