Alec Bradley Fine & Rare JRS10=(86) Returning to Stores

The second release of Alec Bradley’s JRS10=(86) is now off to stores.

It’s the latest in the company’s annual Fine & Rare Series. JRS10=(86) is a 6 1/2 x 56 toro extra that debuted in 2o15. Fine & Rare debuted in 2011, most notable for the amount of tobaccos used in each cigar: ten different types. There’s a Honduran wrapper over both Honduran and Nicaraguan binders and then seven fillers from the two countries.

“From iteration to iteration we play with different tobaccos and different crop years to create a 10 leaf masterpiece,” said Alan Rubin, founder of Alec Bradley. “Having learned early on in my career that you must listen to the tobacco and let it tell you when it’s ready; I always need to allow the combination of select leaves to dictate the size of Fine & Rare in any given year. For 2018 the only thing I heard was: ‘JRS10 = (86) Gran Toro.'”

While the original release was limited to 2,000 boxes of 10, the 2018 version is a 2,500 box run. In addition, the pricing is now $21.90 per cigar compared to the 2015 price of $18.50.

Fine & Rare is produced at the Raíces Cubanas factory in Danlí, Honduras.
