Alec Bradley has announced that it will once again be releasing a pair of limited edition cigars designed to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, the Black Market Filthy Hooligan and the Filthy Hooligan Shamrock.
The Black Market Filthy Hooligan is a 6 x 50 toro that uses Nicaraguan habano and Honduran candela leaves to create the barber pole design, while an Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf is used for the binder and the fillers come from Panama and Honduras. It is offered in a 6 x 50 toro vitola that is priced at $11.50 per cigar. The company is producing 2,000 boxes of 24 cigars, a run of 48,000 total cigars.
The Black Market Filthy Hooligan Shamrock uses three wrappers, a Nicaraguan habano, a Nicaraguan habano maduro, and a Honduran candela, while the binder is the same Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf that is used on the Filthy Hooligan, as are the fillers. It is also offered in a 6 x 50 toro vitola, but is more expensive, with an MSRP of $13.65. It is also more limited, with just 1,500 boxes of 10 cigars being produced.
Both cigars are made in Honduras at the Tabacos de Oriente factory. They will begin shipping to retailers early next week.
Alec Bradley made the announcement via Cigar Aficionado. While the company has not yet issued a formal announcement or images about the cigars due to an exclusivity agreement with that publication, a representative confirmed the accuracy of the report under the condition of anonymity.
