Alec Bradley’s Black Market Illicit is debuting tonight at STOGIES World Class Cigars.

The Illicit is a new version of the company’s popular Black Market line offered only to retailers who are members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA). It uses a Nicaraguan wrapper, dual Honduran and Nicaraguan binders and fillers from Nicaragua.

It’s offered in a 6 x 50 size, priced at $8.75 per cigar.

The TAA is a fairly small group of some of the country’s top tobacconists, about 80 retailers as well as 40 or so manufacturers. The association gathers annually to discuss issues facing the industry and retailers, as well as to have its annual trade show, a unique event that works on a group buying format in order to secure exclusive deals for these generally high-volume merchants.

AsylumCrowned Heads, La Flor DominicanaLa PalinaMy Father and Rocky Patel have already shipped their TAA releases for 2017.

Update (Aug. 16, 2017) — Alec Bradley announced today that the Black Market Illicit has begun shipping to all TAA retailers. This story was originally published on June 22.
