Fans of AKA Cigars will begin to see a slightly updated version of the company’s lines with new bands and boxes. While the color schemes for the company’s lines—Hybrid, Respect 2013, Solace and Nth Degree—will stay the same, there are more stylized bands and boxes.

AKA Cigars New Bands

The company expects the new Solace packaging to begin arriving at retailers in July, while Nth Degree and Respect 2013 will likely arrive around October, as remaining inventory depletes. The company’s Hybrid line will also receive the new packaging, but likely in 2015.

In addition, the company’s lanceros will return in small batches for 2014, including in the Nth Degree blend. The AKA Nth Degree Optimal is a 7 x 38 lancero that uses a Mexican San Andrés broadleaf wrapper, Dominican binder and Dominican, Honduran and Peruvian fillers. Pricing is set at $8 per cigar or $168 per box of 21. The company will ship 50 boxes on July 28 and another 50-100 boxes in October.

AKA Nth Degree

The Nth Degree Optimal will be the only new addition for the company at this year’s IPCPR convention and trade show. AKA is produced at Agroindustria LAEPE S.A. in Danlí, Honduras.
