The latest project in Cigar Dojo’s ever-growing library of collaborations is Bonsai.

It’s a 4 x 50 petit robusto that is being made by AGANORSA Leaf using tobacco from the company’s Nicaraguan farms: a corojo 99 wrapper from Jalapa, a corojo 99 binder and corojo and criollo fillers.

Bonsai will go on sale at Aug. 24 at the 2019 Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival in Broomfield, Colo., an event put on by Smoker Friendly.

Pricing will be set at $5.50 per cigar and it is limited to 350 bundles of 10 cigars. There will be 50 of those bundles available during the event, while another 300 will go on sale through Payless Cigars & Pipes on Aug. 28.

I am an editor and co-founder of halfwheel.com/Rueda Media, LLC. I previously co-founded and published TheCigarFeed, one of the two predecessors of halfwheel. I have written about the cigar industry for more than a decade, covering everything from product launches to regulation to M&A. In addition, I handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff here at halfwheel. I enjoy playing tennis, watching boxing, falling asleep to the Le Mans 24, wearing sweatshirts year-round and eating gyros. echte liebe.
