The Lunatic Habano line will soon be getting its first toro vitola, as today AGANORSA Leaf announced that it would be adding the Hombre Libre size to the line at the upcoming Tobacco Plus Expo (TPE).

The Hombre Libre is a 6 x 54 toro gordo, and like the rest of the line will feature an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler that is grown on AGANORSA Leaf’s farms. It will have an MSRP of $8.25 and be offered in 28-count boxes. It is produced at Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (TABSA) in Estelí, Nicaragua, and will be an ongoing, regular production size in the line.

“Toro is overall the most popular vitola and so it made sense to create one for our most popular brand,” said Terence Reilly, vp of sales and marketing, via a press release.

The new size will debut at TPE, which happens May 12-14 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Reilly said the company is hoping to ship the cigars soon after TPE wraps up.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
