Under a new agreement, A.J. Fernández will handle the distribution for La Gran Llave, the new company that launched earlier this year with the eponymous La Gran Llave line, as well as LGL Limited, a bundle cigar.

Tabacalera AJ Fernández Cigars de Nicaragua S.A. handles production of La Gran Llave, though LGL Limited is made at a different Nicaraguan.

There’s one other change for the company, Michael Argenti is no longer with the company. Instead, Angel Aguayo, the other partner, is now solely in charge of the operation.

Argenti did not immediately respond to a text message seeking comment.

I am an editor and co-founder of halfwheel.com/Rueda Media, LLC. I previously co-founded and published TheCigarFeed, one of the two predecessors of halfwheel. I have written about the cigar industry for more than a decade, covering everything from product launches to regulation to M&A. In addition, I handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff here at halfwheel. I enjoy playing tennis, watching boxing, falling asleep to the Le Mans 24, wearing sweatshirts year-round and eating gyros. echte liebe.
