Bob The Cigar Reviews (Bob/Chief) — There are two lists, one of which has 10 cigars and the other has 12. There first 10 on each list are handled like normal, the 11th and 12th place cigars were awarded 4.5 points and 2.5 points.
Cigar Lover — This list is divided into five geographic regions each of which has five ranked cigars. Because there’s no way of telling which #1 is the top cigar overall, the five #1 cigars were awarded 23 points, the five second-place cigars were awarded 18 points, etc.
Cigar Talk — This is a podcast where each host produces their own lists, which obstnesively were supposed to have 25 cigars. I am pretty sure that’s not what happened. I am pretty sure that one list skipped #10 and #20. Each cigar on this list was ordered half of the points they would have gotten, meaning first place was awarded 12.5 points and #25 was awarded .5 points. The other list appears to be an unordered list of 25 cigars, each cigar was awarded 6.5 points.
Master Your Ash — This list is separated by ring gauge, at least I think it is. There are a total of 11 cigars, ranked 1-5 depending on whether the cigar is 54 ring gauge or below OR thicker than 54 ring gauge. Making things even more confusing, there were three second-place cigars. The first-place cigars split the points between 1st and 2nd, 24.5 points each. The three-way tie for second place resulted in 22 points being awarded. The two cigars tied for third were awarded 19.5 points.
SeanTheCigarGuy — The #8 cigar was listed as the “Padrón Family Reserve No. 50 Maduro” however the cigar shown appears to be the No. 95 Maduro. I gave the points to the No. 50 Maduro.
Stogie Press — Stogie Press produces three different Top 15 lists, broken up by the size of a company. Given The Consensus’s approach of limiting each list to 25 cigars, only the top 1-9 from each list were taken. Because there’s no way of telling which #1 (Small, Medium, or Large Company) is actually the first place cigar, each #1 was awarded 24 points, a three-way tie for first; the #2 cigars were awarded 21 points, etc. The #9 cigars were awarded .3 points.
