3. ACID Kuba Arte

As part of the 20th anniversary of its ACID brand, Drew Estate paid tribute to its Brooklyn roots by releasing Kuba Arte, a line of cigars packaged into replicas of a water tower that has become a central icon in the company’s branding, including a much larger retail display that showcases the company’s smaller cigars that get packaged in tin packs.

While the physical design was impressive on its own, the company took things a step further, enlisting the help of five noted graffiti artists from the area to give the release even more character, as the group produced a total of seven different designs. While the bands on the cigars are the same, they also showcase the graffiti aesthetic.

The ACID Kuba Arte might not be the most practical or shelf-friendly packaging, but it earned points for its distinctive design, the option to pick from several variations, and its undeniable connection to Drew Estate’s history, all while making a display-worthy piece. — Patrick Lagreid.
