7. Oscar Valladares Ciseron Edition

Art, specifically cigar related art, is certainly not a new concept for a limited edition’s inspiration, with a number of art-centric releases easily coming to mind just within the last few years.

Just because something has been done before however, doesn’t mean that it can’t be done again – and in this case, done remarkably well. The Oscar Valladares Ciserón Edition features works by Honduran artist Elmer Ciserón Bautista, whose art is described as being both post-cubist surrealist and post-cubist minimalist.

Five different paintings are featured on the top of the cigar box, with the entire lid made to look like a framed work of art. While the interior of the box and the nearly full-length sleeves covering each cigar are a clean, simple design – it’s the “framed” work of art on the lid that really makes this packaging stand out. For those wondering, Oliva’s Master Blends 1 featured a similar concept. — Brian Burt.
