XIKAR’s original high-altitude lighter is getting a redesign.
The company will launch Stratosphere II, a new version of the lighter the rugged lighter it introduced in 2011. The notable exterior changes include an X-pattern on the side of the rubber case and an update to lid’s locking mechanism, which now has a lower profile as the core locking mechanism appears to be incorporated into the interior of the lid.
It will be offered Black, Blue, Clear, Hunter (Green) and Red versions with a suggested retail price of $29.99.
Stratosphere was created to provide a torch flame at high altitude. Last year, the company added the Cirro lighter, which uses a similar torch flame to the original stratosphere, but in a more formal case design.
