World’s Largest Davidoff Store Coming to Tampa

The Cigar City is getting a new cigar bar—and it’s going to be big.

Davidoff of Geneva USA is partnering with Jeff and Tanya Borysiewicz, owners of Corona Cigar Co., for its newest store: Davidoff of Geneva — Since 1911 at MetWest International in Tampa, Fla.

The store is a 5,000-square-foot humidified area that will feature a retail space, full service bar, private lockers and indoor and outdoor lounges. This is the first time a Davidoff of Geneva — Since 1911 location will feature a full service bar. While the store will carry the Davidoff branding and look, it will be owned and operated by the Borysiewiczes.

“We’re thrilled to expand our retail operations and to serve cigar enthusiasts in the Cigar City of Tampa,” said Jeff Borysiewicz in a press release. “We look forward to creating the “Ultimate Cigar Experience” in a community with such a long history of cigar manufacturing and rich cigar culture. It’s an honor to be partnering with Davidoff of Geneva, the global leader in premium cigars and luxury cigar stores. It’s exciting to be building upon the legacy that Zino Davidoff started over 100 years ago.”

The location is part of the MetWest International Retail Village at 4102-4146 Boy Scout Blvd, located about 15 miles west of the Davidoff’s U.S. offices in Pinellas Park.

“We are delighted to open a new Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 store in our home market,” said Jim Young, president of Davidoff of Geneva North America. “We are particularly excited to do this in partnership with Jeff and Tanya who have been outstanding Davidoff partners for quite some time. They know how to provide consumers with a premium retail experience, they know our entire product portfolio, and they know our company.”

The store is slated for a “late 2015” opening. Davidoff of Geneva has made it clear that it will push for a large expansion in the U.S. retail market, the company has announced new locations in Atlanta, Houston and Lower Manhattan—all set to open sometime this year.

This is not the first time Davidoff has partnered with someone for one of its stores. The Las Vegas stores are a partnership between the company and Matt Arcella.
