The Viaje Ghost Pepper is dead, but the peppers aren’t.

This year’s release in Viaje’s Pepper Series will be GP 10.31, a 4 7/8 x 50 perfecto made entirely of Nicaraguan tobacco with a “dark” corojo wrapper.

Pricing is set at $8.80 and it will come in boxes of 25. A company spokesperson declined to discuss production details, but said it will ship to all authorized Viaje retailers.

In addition, that same spokesperson told halfwheel that the red foil-wrapped Ghost Pepper “will no longer be made.” A new pepper is expected to be produced next year.
