Ventura Cigar Co. has been teasing an upcoming release known as Archetype, a collection of new cigars, and now the company has unveiled finalized details.

Archetype is two sets of cigars, made by two different companies.

The first is known as Series A, two lines coming from Oettinger Davidoff AG’s Occidental Cigar Factory in the Dominican Republic and one from the company’s Agroindustria LAEPE S.A. factory in Honduras.

Dreamstate and Sage Advice are the two Dominican lines. The first uses a “Dominican Connecticut” wrapper and is described as mild-medium. It’s offered in Robusto (5 x 52, $9.99), Toro (6 x 50, $10.99) and Churchill (7 x 48, $11.99).

As for Sage Advice, it uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper and is available in Robusto (5 1/4 x 54, $10.99), Toro (6 x 52, $11.99) and Gordo (6 x 60, $12.99).

Strange Passage is the Honduran line. It comes in three box-pressed sizes: Short Robusto (4 1/4 x 50, $8.99), Robusto (5 1/2 x 54, $10.49) and Toro (6 x 60, $12.49).

There’s also Series B, which is being produced by Drew Estate and only available to Ventura’s VSR accounts.

Initiation uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over Nicaraguan fillers. I’t’s offered in Corona (5 x 46, $9.99), Robusto (5 x 54, $10.99), Toro (6 x 52, $11.99) and Churchill (7 x 48, $12.99).

The other Drew Estate-made line is Axis Mundi. It uses a habano maduro wrapper and comes in five sizes: Corona (5 x 46, $10.49), Robusto (5 x 54, $11.49), Toro (6 x 52, $12.49) and Churchill (7 x 48, $12.99).

“The Archetype brand is inspired by the work of psychologist Dr. Carl Jung and the writings of mythographer Joseph Campbell who defined ‘archetypes’ as the constantly repeating characters who occur in the dreams of all people and the myths of all cultures,” said Jason Carignan, the company’s chief marketing officer, in a press release.

“Campbell discovered through his study of world myths that the ‘Hero’s Journey’ is a common storytelling arc that has been retold in infinite variations since time began. Cigar smoking is really no different; we gather and we weave our tales as we share a couple of sticks and a glass of fine whiskey.”

The new line will debut at the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which begins July 25 in Las Vegas. The company says it will begin shipping the cigars on Aug. 1.
