Slaughterhouse, a new value-priced item from Ventura Cigar Co., is now shipping.

The company showed off the cigar last summer to meet the Aug. 8, 2016 deadline set by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), but it is now formally selling the cigar.

Slaughterhouse is offered in three sizes and two wrapper choices. Both cigars use an undisclosed “multi-country” filler blend and a Mexican Sumatra binder. The Natural version uses a Dominican habano wrapper, while the Maduro uses a Mexican San Andrés cover leaf.

Three sizes are offered in each blend: Robusto (4 3/4 x 50, $2.99), Toro (6 x 50, $3.20) and Churchill (7 x 48, $3.40). All three are sold in 10-count craft paper bundles.

Production is being handled by AgroIndustrial Nicaraguense de Tabaco in Condega, Nicaragua.
