Tre J Cigars is bringing a handful of new products to this year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which kicks off July 25 in Las Vegas.

The company debuted in 2014 with Vicarias, which will now will receive its fourth blend, as well as additions to two of the previous blends.

Vicarias is split up into the Vicarias Black Label, Blue Label and White Label blends. Now there will also be a Red Label.

It will use a Cuban-seed Brazilian maduro wrapper, binder from Jalapa, Nicaragua and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Pennsylvania. When Red Label debuts at this month’s trade show, it will be with only a single 6 x 54 size priced at $9.

Blue Label uses an Ecuadorian corojo wrapper, Dominican olor binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Honduras. A 6 x 54 toro will be added to the line, which currently includes the 6 x 52. The new Toro is priced at $8.20.

A 5 1/2 x 48 will be added to the Vicarias White Label. The Corona Gorda uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Dominican binder and Dominican fillers. Suggested retail pricing will be $6 per cigar.

Jay Clark of Tre J told halfwheel the line will begin shipping the Blue and White Label extensions immediately at the trade show, while the Red Label will come shortly thereafter.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
